FORENSIC SCIENCE AND ATROCITY CRIMES
Argentine Forensic Anthropology Team (EAAF): SInce it was founded in 1984, EAAF's work in Argentina has focused on investigating cases of persons who were disappeared during the last military dictatorship (1976-1983). IN 1998, as in previous years, EAAF concentrated much of its energy on working with a variety of sources and documentation, such previously inaccessible, which contain a great deal of information about the disappearances.

Center for Internatonal Forensic Assistance (CIFA): CIFA developed in reponse to the increasing demand for reliable impartial and professional forensic medical, scientific and technical expertise. The forensic community was acutely aware of the vast forensic experience accumulated by colleagues following investigations in countried including Rwanda, the Balkans, Sierra Leone and East Timor, but was equally conscious of the need for a central organisation to co-ordinate and maintain this vital and unique asset at an international level.

Inforce- International Forensic Center of Excellence for the Investigation of Genocide:
The Inforce Foundation began its inception in 2001 but was born out of the collective experience of a group of forensic specialists active in the investigation of crimes against humanity, war crimes and genocide.

International Commission on Missing Persons:
International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) endeavors to secure the co-operation of Governments and other authorities in locating and identifying persons missing as a result of armed conflicts, other hostilities or violations of human rights and to assist them in doing so. ICMP also supports the work of other organizations in their efforts, encourages public involvement in its activities and contributes to the development of appropriate expressions of commemoration and tribute to the missing.

International Forensics Program: The work of the Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) International Forensics Program is worldwide. Its scientific investigators have exposed disapperances, extra-judicial executions, delibrate injury, rape and torture. The scale of findings has ranged from war crimes to crimes against humanity and genocide. International Forensics Program (IPF) projects include training, humanitarian efforts to return relatives to survivors, and monitoring of investigations performed by other entities.
